Are you looking to grow your professional network, make new connections, and get career advice from distinguished scholars in the humanities fields? Join us for MLA Speed Mentoring, an exciting event where graduate students will be able to engage with accomplished faculty members for expert guidance—about particular fields of study or about career advancement more generally.
On 6 June 2019, in New York City, students will be matched with mentors who have experience assisting with departmental hiring, serving on tenure review committees, and mentoring graduate students, in addition to teaching and researching, for brief conversations about professional advancement and mentorship opportunities. Speed Mentoring will be followed by a reception where members can continue conversations over light refreshments.
